After I finished the Kao ESSENTIAL NUANCE AIRY Ultra Honey Hair Mask I got a chance to try out the Kao ESSENTIAL NUANCE AIRY Treatment. I was curious to see the difference of the two.
There isn’t too much for me to go into detail here, just a few points. You can check out my post of Kao ESSENTIAL NUANCE AIRY Ultra Honey Hair Mask to see what I thought of it.
The treatment is 180ml in size in a nice tube form. IMO, I think it is quite similar to the hair mask. The treatment is much lighter where as the hair mask is really thick and gooey. I find the treatment much easier to use because of the squeeze tube, I don’t need to open a jar and dig into it to get the contents like the hair mask and then close it with my gooey hands. I found that I tend to use this more often because of the that convenience. I also kept this by my bathtub for easy access.
The treatment is meant to be used after shampoo & conditioner. I apply it onto my hair, just the ends where it is in the worst state of damage & dryness. I leave it in a few minutes while I wash my face then rinse out. You can use this treatment as often as you like, I used it 3-4 times a week. It really isn’t more than a deeper conditioner.
Ideally, you can use the treatment on a regular basis and then the hair mask 1-2 times a week. Though, I don’t really see a point to it even with my super damaged hair. The results of the treatment as just as good and a little cheaper too. I couldn’t notice much difference from using either one.
I would rather just use the treatment and try another type of hair mask as the hair mask is average. But if you really like the fruity intoxicating smell, you might would to use them both. Treatment is ideal if you just need basic damage care.
I bought mine from Sasa. Mine was the old packaging. It now has a new packaging and has been reformulated.
