Holika Holika The King Of Bean Cleansing Foam comes in 2 different variations, green bean and black bean. I opted for the black bean. These tubes are MASSIVE, 300ml. Oversized cleanser, no doubt. I haven’t used that many Holika Holika products so I bought it to try. I love washing my face.
Anything that seems cool and exotic? I’m all over it. Beans, nuts, herbs, grains? Yes, please.

The thing with Holika Holika is that there is no English information labelled anywhere, sigh. So I cannot give you any specific detail since I have non-existent knowledge of the Korean language. I looked around various site to see if there might be an English description. No luck, though they all say 1000ppm of king kong extract? King Kong? What is that? Monkey? Some special root? I haven’t a clue.
This is what I know about green bean and black bean but I cannot confirm if that is what these cleansers say they do.
They have antioxidant which can help improve your blood circulation, gives a nice deep cleanse to the pores to help treat acne. Moisturizing, revitalize skin for a healthy glow (probably cause of the blood circulation), and improve elasticity by preventing moisture loss.
Honestly, this tube is going to take me many months to finish. I might get bored with it after some time. The foam is very creamy, extreme lather. I love the soothing smell, it smells of some sort of grain or bean or soy. I can’t make it out exactly, since I have no clue what black bean is supposed to smell like. I would say for me this one a morning cleanser. It does deep cleaning, but lacks a little if you have lots of make-up on. I always like to test out a cleanser a few times to see how well it can clean make-up without any pre make up removal. No dice, heavy make-up, still there. So using this in the morning is great for me or on days I am at home and no make up. It’s really does clean out my pores(sans make-up though, but I guess if you did make-up removal before hand it works fine but still lacking just a little) and makes me feel clean but at the same time not drying. It does moisturize quite pleasantly. Ideal for normal skin, I cannot say how it would fair for other types. Might be a little lacking for dry skin still. Lately, I’ve got it sitting by my bathtub now to use during my baths. Sure I might have to wash my face 2-3 times to get that cleanly feeling but whatever, the tube is huge, I might never finish it otherwise.
This cleansing is cool and all, BEANS! Worth the price but isn’t anything to wow about in my books. I wouldn’t repurchase. It does not do a good enough job for me. I need super clean!
I’m really behind in using my stash, sometimes things are not as readily available anymore. Asian market whips products out like nobody’s business.

Sounds neat! I’ve never heard of beans in face soap before. Rice and other grains sure, but not beans. Is it exfoliating? Are they dried beans?
This one isn’t exfoliating sadly, it’s probably dried bean extracts so no tiny exfoliating bits I would worship for.
haha! i had a good laugh! king kong extract! lol~~
the idea is good but too bad it doesnt work well enough! maybe someone else will make a better version!
